Meet Shania Sheikh-Carrasco, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, MEP-C

Shania Sheikh-Carrasco is the Founder of AMANI Aesthetics, a Family Nurse Practitioner, and advanced aesthetic provider with a passion for creating natural, intentional results through aesthetic medicine, skin health, and wellness.

What began in a 90-square-foot treatment room has grown into a comprehensive aesthetics and wellness practice serving Southeast New Mexico. Throughout AMANI’s growth, Shania’s vision has remained the same: to bring advanced treatments, technology, education, and an elevated level of care to the rural community she proudly calls home.

Shania has dedicated years to advanced aesthetic education and hands-on training alongside respected providers and industry leaders across the country. Her approach to aesthetics focuses on full-face assessment, facial balance, skin health, and subtle enhancement rather than chasing individual features or trends. She believes the best aesthetic work should leave patients looking refreshed, balanced, and unmistakably like themselves.

As her practice has evolved, so has her passion for treating the patient beyond aesthetics. Shania has expanded AMANI into wellness, hormone optimization, peptide therapy, medical weight management, and advanced skin health, creating a more comprehensive approach to helping patients look, feel, and function at their best.

Her own experience with adult acne has also shaped the way she approaches skin health. Understanding firsthand how deeply skin concerns can affect confidence inspired her to expand AMANI’s acne and corrective skin programs and provide patients with the education, consistency, and individualized support she felt was missing in her own journey.

Shania earned her nursing education through New Mexico State University, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University, and her Master of Science in Nursing from South College, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. She continues to invest heavily in advanced education as aesthetic and wellness medicine evolve.

Outside of AMANI, Shania enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She loves traveling abroad and to the cities, discovering new restaurants and luxury spas, interior design/decor, creating content through fashion and beauty, and finding inspiration she can bring back to the AMANI experience for her patients.

For Shania, AMANI has never been about changing the way someone looks. It is about giving patients the tools, education, and care to become the most confident version of themselves, inside and out.

Ruben Carrasco, CFO, Co-Owner

Ruben is the Chief Financial Officer and Co-Owner of AMANI Aesthetics, playing an essential role in the strategy, growth, and day-to-day operations behind the practice.

While his title may be CFO, Ruben’s role at AMANI extends far beyond the financials. He oversees the financial health of the company, helps coordinate intentional spending and investments, and works alongside leadership to guide the continued growth and expansion of AMANI. From evaluating major purchases and planning for the future to assembling equipment, moving furniture, handling repairs, and even stepping in with janitorial needs, there truly isn’t much he won’t do to keep AMANI moving forward.

Ruben has also become an integral part of the continued development of AMANI Aesthetics. Wellness, performance, and longevity are areas he is genuinely passionate about, and he works closely behind the scenes as AMANI continues to expand its offerings in this space.

As both CFO and Co-Owner, Ruben brings a practical, forward-thinking perspective to the business, balancing smart financial decisions with the investments necessary to continue elevating the patient experience, supporting the team, and thoughtfully scaling AMANI for the future.

Imran Sheikh, Business Operations Manager

Meet Imran Sheikh | Business Operations Manager

Imran is the Business Operations Manager at AMANI Aesthetics, helping oversee the essential systems and operations that keep the business organized, efficient, and positioned for continued growth.

Working largely behind the scenes, Imran plays an important role in managing many of the administrative and operational responsibilities that support both our team and providers.

From payroll, benefits, taxes, and employee onboarding to inventory coordination, medications, and financial operations, he helps ensure the business side of AMANI continues to run smoothly.

As AMANI continues to grow, Imran works closely with leadership to strengthen internal systems, manage resources, and support the operational needs of an expanding aesthetics and wellness practice. His attention to detail and business-minded approach help create the structure our clinical team needs to remain focused on providing an exceptional patient experience.

Angelica Sheikh, Clinical Operations Manager

Meet Angelica | Clinical Operations Manager

Angelica is the Clinical Operations Manager at AMANI Aesthetics, bringing strong leadership, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for creating an exceptional experience for both our patients and team. She has over 30+ years in management skills under her belt and continues this through AMANI.

As an integral part of AMANI’s day-to-day operations, Angelica helps ensure the clinic runs seamlessly from behind the scenes to the patient experience. She works closely with our providers and aesthetics team to oversee scheduling, clinical flow, team operations, training, and the daily standards that keep AMANI organized and operating at its best.

Angelica has become a familiar and welcoming face to many of our patients. Whether she is helping coordinate care, answering questions, supporting the team, or making sure every detail of the day comes together, she plays an essential role in creating the elevated and personalized experience we want every patient to feel at AMANI.

As Clinical Operations Manager, Angelica is an important part of the heart of AMANI, helping our patients feel taken care of while ensuring our team has the support and organization needed to provide exceptional care every day.

Emily Callaway, CCMA

Meet Emily | Aesthetics Assistant

Emily is a Medical Assistant at AMANI Aesthetics, bringing a warm presence, attention to detail, and genuine passion for patient care to the AMANI team.

With approximately three years of experience as a Medical Assistant and a background in family practice, Emily brings valuable clinical experience into the aesthetics and wellness space. She completed her Medical Assistant training in Lubbock, Texas, and has continued expanding her knowledge and certifications in aesthetic medicine, skin health, and wellness since joining AMANI.

Emily has become an important part of the patient experience helping patients feel comfortable, cared for, and supported throughout their visits while assisting our providers with clinical care and treatment preparation.
